UN National Statistics Resource

The United Nations Statistics Division, in its mission to promote the development of national statistical systems, has developed a central repository of country profiles of statistical systems. The country profiles include, among others, a brief history of the country's statistical system, legal basis, the statistical programme and much more.

ACS Association for Canadian Studies
Dedicated to the promotion of research, teaching and publications on Canada. Founded in 1973 at Queen's University, Kingston.

AIIA Australian Institute of International Affairs
The Institute arranges programs of lectures, seminars, conferences and other discussions, and sponsors research and publications on international affairs.

Home to the politically centre Washington DC think-tank. The site includes a wealth of resources on foreign policy studies.

BRIE Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy
Inter-disciplinary research group founded in 1982 at the University of Berkeley, to focus on the development and application of the international economy.

BISA British International Studies Association
Promoting the study of International Relations and related subjects through teaching, research and facilitation of contact between scholars.

CATO Institute
The Institute, based in Washington DC, is named for Cato's Letters, a series of libertarian pamphlets that helped lay the philosophical foundation for the American Revolution.

CIIA Canadian Institute of International Affairs
Helping Canadians obtain a better understanding of foreign policy and global issues through an extensive programme of public education. Includes a vast links page to other International Relations related sites.

CCEIA Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs

FPA Foreign Policy Association
Established in 1918 as the League of Free Nations Association to support President Woodrow Wilson's efforts to achieve a just peace.

FPIF Foreign Policy in Focus
International network of analysts and activists dedicated to "making the U.S. a more responsible global leader and partner." Its new Globalization in Focus web page provides coverage of the issues facing institutions such as the WTO, the World Bank and the IMF.

G8 Information Centre
Information System provided by the University of Toronto Library and the G8 Research Group at the University of Toronto. A good source of information and research on the institutions, issues and members of the G7/G8.

Globalization Institute
The Globalization Institute is an international development think tank which argues that bringing the poorest into the global economy is key to eliminating poverty.

Global Policy Forum
Monitoring global policy making at the United Nations. Good section on Globalization, with a digest of articles on its different forms.

ICRIER Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations
Information on topics such as foreign trade and investment, financial sector reforms, and competitiveness of Indian industry, from the respected ICRIER.

IIE Institute for International Economics

SANEI South Asia Network of Economic Research Institutes
